STRAWBERRY TIP - OCTOBER 13
CATEGORY - PERFORMANCE
Is your business not growing at the pace you desire? There probably are multiple factors causing that stall or crawl. One factor might be the “thinking too small” trap. You have been using motivation, inspiration, discipline, and goals to accomplish growth. That willpower and “cheerleading,” however, has been barely preserving your business’s sustainability. You feel mired in the early years of starting your business, an often grueling period of existing in survival mode. The grind becomes “normal” and numbness to its growth-restricting force forms a delusion there is no other way forward. To the contrary, the grind cycle can be disrupted. Development and integration of systems weaken the grip of grind, shifting thinking from the immediate to the longer-term. Implementing an effectively placed system propels you from having rote patterns for doing things to having interconnected linkages that can say farewell to survival and welcome to actual business development and growth.
Reflection/Call to Action
What area(s) of your business could use an effectively placed system, but you have been believing doing so is a cost rather than an investment? When in the past have you had similar hesitation or fear, yet you found a way to not allow the hesitation or fear to rob you of what you later realized was a substantially better decision? How did you move beyond the hesitation or fear? Set now a date for when are you going to get started with similar action(s) for this business decision.
